Matic Insurance Announces Key Leadership Promotions

Columbus, Ohio, (February 15, 2024) — Matic, a leading digital insurtech platform, announced today key appointments and promotions among the senior leadership team, further expanding its capabilities to meet the rapidly growing demand for embedded insurance solutions that integrate into the homeownership lifecycle.


Lee Maliniak has been promoted to Chief Product Officer, where he will spearhead Matic’s product strategy and oversee product development, product growth, and user experience design. Since joining Matic in 2017, Lee has served in key leadership roles, helping launch and scale new innovative insurance solutions for the mortgage, lending, and banking industries.


Lee’s extensive SaaS background included contributing to the development of consumer-facing quote flows for Esurance, enhancing ancillary service sales for mid-tier airlines at Switchfly, and leading customer success teams with a focus on implementing product management methodologies to deliver significant value to customers at Walkme.


Andrea Bone has been promoted to Vice President of Agency Operations, where she will lead Matic’s operations team including the workforce management, learning and development, and process improvement functions. Andrea joined Matic in 2022 to oversee its strategic partnerships where she successfully scaled the team to support new and existing partnerships, generating more shared value for partners and Matic. Prior to Matic, Andrea spent 10 years in operations and over seven years working in client management, most recently at Travel + Leisure and Alliance Data.


Jacob Banker has been promoted to Vice President of Customer Service and Retention. After joining Matic in 2023, he successfully led his teams to enhance the experience for Matic customers by significantly reducing call center wait times, increasing speed in customer response times, and achieving new records for customer renewals. Jacob brings over 15 years of customer service leadership, most recently at Ohio Health.
